Travelling to Brunswick Street Station
Funded by the Queensland Government through TransLink, the Brunswick Street Station Refurbishment is an upgrade project which will transform the station into a more accessible, attractive and safe destination and departure point for QR Citytrain passengers.
Construction began on 14 July 2007 and the platforms, lifts and escalators will be operational by December 2008. QR Citytrain is working with the Valley Metro Centre, located above the station, and the local community to keep stakeholders informed and impacts from the project to a minimum. QR Citytrain will advise passengers throughout the life of the project of alternative routes to complete their journeys to Brunswick Street Station.
Integral part of the Valley As such, QR Citytrain has a vital role to play. The station will be revamped to reflect the culture of the Valley and the artist's impression above demonstrates this open and contemporary design. QR Citytrain will engage local artists and schools to assist with the artwork in the station.
