With the introduction of TransLink from 1 July 2004, the purchase of a single ticket will allow you to travel throughout South East Queensland on participating buses, BCC ferrys and QR Citytrain.
You still buy your ticket the same way as you do now - by asking for a ticket by destination or by the number of zones. Staff will then calculate your fare.
If you are buying your ticket from a ticket vending machine at a train station, simply enter your destination code and the machine will work out the zones and fare for you.
The table below outlines the best tickets for different public transport users.
