TransLink tickets


TransLink weekly and monthly tickets
With the introduction of TransLink from 1 July 2004, you will enjoy a single public transport network. The network will cover south-east Queensland from Noosa on the Sunshine Coast to Coolangatta on the Gold Coast and west to Helidon making it easier and more convenient for you. 

Just one valid TransLink ticket takes you wherever you want to go on participating buses, QR Citytrain and Brisbane City Council (BCC) ferries within the new network, no matter which combination of modes you use to reach your destination. Zones, fares, ticket types and concessions will be standardised across the system.

 

TransLink tickets will let you reach your destination via bus, Citytrain and ferry within the zones printed on your ticket.

TransLink tickets will include:

» Daily
line
» Off-peak daily
line
» Weekly
line
» Monthly
line
» QR Citytrain 3, 6 and 12 month passes

» Group
line
» go card
line



Single

One-way travel on all TransLink services to reach your destination within the zones shown on the ticket. Transfers for the final leg of your journey must be made within 2 hours of issue, but the journey may be completed after that time.


Daily

Unlimited travel on all TransLink services within the zones shown on the ticket. Available on weekdays, excluding public holidays, to the last service scheduled as per the operator's public timetable or until 2.00am where the service is continuous.


Off-peak daily

Discounted travel on all TransLink services within the zones shown on the ticket. Available between 9:00am and 3:30pm and after 7:00pm, and all day on weekends and gazetted public holidays, to the last service scheduled as per the operator's public timetable or until 2.00am where the service is continuous.


Weekly

Unlimited travel on all TransLink services within the zones shown on the ticket for seven (7) consecutive days from the date of purchase, to the last service scheduled on the expiry date as per the operator's public timetable or until 2.00am the day following the expiry date as printed on the ticket, where the service is continuous.


Monthly

One month's unlimited travel on all TransLink services within the zones shown on the ticket, to the last service scheduled on the expiry date as per the operator's public timetable or until 2.00am the day following the expiry date as printed on the ticket, where the service is continuous.

Monthly tickets are available from attended Citytrain stations only.

If your rail station is unattended or if you commence your journey by bus or ferry, buy a single ticket and convert it to a weekly or monthly ticket at your destination station. The cost of the single ticket will be deducted from the cost of the monthly ticket.

QR Citytrain 3, 6 and 12 month passes

Unlimited travel for either 3, 6 or 12 calendar months from the date of issue on Citytrain services only.

Group

A group ticket is a single ticket which permits a number of passengers to travel under the one ticket, and is issued by all TransLink operators. If a group includes more than one passenger ticket type travelling together, a group ticket will be issued for each type. All members of the group must remain together for the entire journey.

For Citytrain passengers travelling in a group of 10 or more by rail only, a group discount applies when arrangements are made with Citytrain in advance. Please see Group travel for details.

With a TransLink go card you can travel seamlessly using one card on TransLink bus, ferry and rail services across South East Queensland.
